COUNSELLING

Counselling

Our counselling program provides services for children, youth and families with a focus on issues related to anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anger management, eating disorders, self esteem, body image, paternal conflict, and empowerment.

We also serve the mental health support needs of adults, and help those working through difficult life situations such as divorce, separation, grief and loss, changes in employment, chronic illness or other physical health issues, attachment, parenting and addiction.

Service provided by self-referral, or referrals from another source of support.

We can also help with:

  • Assessment and referrals for complex needs
  • Case management and advocacy
  • Crisis intervention
  • Historical trauma
  • Communication strategies
  • Coping strategies for stress
  • Connections to community resources
  • Arranging volunteering opportunities for mental wellness development

    i.e. support groups, education sessions, one-to-one support

    i.e. discharge date, hearing and visual loss, mobility restrictions, primary language, family contact info, safety concerns, substance use, etc.

    The Participant understands and consents to be contacted by a local Community Connector about their Social Prescribing Program.
