Donate Food, Gifts or Other Products

We are so very grateful for donations of food, personal care products, gifts, and many other items. All of these are important in helping us to serve families well and we encourage everyone to connect with us if you have anything you think someone can use.

In the past year, thanks to the generosity of our community, we did not run out of food, we were able to supply families with baby items they needed, people with special diets got foods they need, we gave away winter coats, boots, gloves, mitts and hats, children got candy, bikes and toys, toddlers got strollers, seniors and the disabled had access to wheelchairs, walkers, bathroom and shower seats, crutches and more. Bedding was donated that found a new home, also camping gear, heaters and fans. Pets were fed and we had toys, bedding, water dishes for them donated. Anything in excellent working order or condition can be put to good use. Just give us a call.

We also ask you to support the food drive campaigns of other groups who then donate it to us. The Thanksgiving Food Drive in the early fall and the Sicamous, Malakwa and Swansea Point Volunteer Fire Departments Food and Toy Drive in early December are two such campaigns that provide us with a tremendous amount of support.

Volunteer

We do utilize volunteer help for some tasks, it is a huge help with the food security programs, the garden, yard and building maintenance and under certain circumstances people can volunteer with the child care centre program, and help us at events like Spaghetti with Santa, the Christmas Hamper and Gift Campaign, and fundraising events. Serving on our Board of Directors is another way in which people can serve the society.
